Alongside his acting career, Lohmeyer has also worked as a theater director since the late 1990s, staging productions at venues such as the Munich Kammerspiele and the TamS Theater. He has taught acting since 1992 and has served as a lecturer at the Bavarian Theater Academy since 1995. He also reached a broad audience through his long-running role as Michael Gerstl in the series *Dahoam is Dahoam*, which he played from 2009 to 2023.
